Pleasant Valley Park

Features

  1. Bike Trail
  2. Parking
  3. Trails
In 1999 the municipality of Murrysville acquired more than 250 acres of property on Pleasant Valley Road which became what we know of today as Pleasant Valley Park.  This parcel of land is comprised of rolling fields, woodlands and streams all of which are a hiker’s, day-walker’s and trail biker’s paradise.  Its only improvements have been compacted earth trails that lead through this peaceful place of beauty and natural surroundings.
Trails that have been built by industrious and dedicated groups of volunteers take you through all areas of the park.  When visiting one will find pine forests and natural growth hardwoods of maple and oak, of which many of the trees are identified with small placards.  The trails are thoughtfully constructed to follow the contours of the land.  Small bridges cross streams and some trails traverse the shallow streams themselves.  The main access for Pleasant Valley Park is a parking lot along Pleasant Valley Road.  Be advised, though, there are no utilities at this site. Some park photos were provided by Two Thirty Media and IBDRONIN Photography.
