COVID-19 Parks and Facilities Updates

May 13, 2021: The Community Center is open for rental with a capacity limit of 60 persons. 

May 2021: The Community Center is open for rentals with a capacity limit of 25 persons, and pavilions are available for rent, as well. Park restrooms are open for use. 

November 23: 

The Community Center is closed until further notice, due to Gov. Wolf's updated COVID-19 mitigation guidance.

July 6: 

The Community Center is available for rental. Reservations can be made online, by printing a form in the menu to the left, or in-person at the municipal building. 

The Splash Pad at Murrysville Community Park is not operating during COVD-19 mitigation. Updates will be shared here and on the Splash Pad and Playground page in the menu on the left of this page.

Park restrooms are open. 

Water fountains are not yet turned on for use.

June 29:

As the Recreation Department continues to navigate the ever-changing landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic, updates to the status of facilities, including parks and the Community Center, will be located here. 

The Community Center and Senior Citizens Center are closed during Green Phase.

Sports Fields are available for rental during Green Phase, with proper social distancing, and COVID mitigation processes in place

Courts: Basketball and tennis are permitted for singles and doubles play. No more than 10 persons per court. Observe social distancing and no gathering of more than 25 persons in one area. 

Pavilions are available for rental during Green Phase, while observing social distancing guidelines and no gatherings larger than 25 persons. 

Playgrounds are open during Green Phase.

Park Restrooms are not open at this time. Port-a-johns are provided for use.

If the municipality cancels or postpones your scheduled event due to this, you will be contacted directly to make arrangements. 

Please use our parks for passive recreation, hiking and walking, but please continue to practice social distancing to keep everyone healthy and well, and to ensure we are able to keep our parks open for everyone to enjoy.
