Municipality of Murrysville Deer Management Program

Hunters are assigned to this program from our waiting list. Hunting in the parks is not permitted without being registered with this program. 

Public hunting on Murrysville-owned properties is not permitted. 

  • Archery only from a tree stand
  • Offered in 7 municipal parks and reserves 
    • (Bear Hollow Park ((Pin Oak)) 33.5 acres
    •  Duff Park 162.75 acres
    • Verner Open Space 22 acres
    • Pleasant Valley Park 260.11 acres
    • Kellman and Skena Reserves 56.58 acres and 21.79 acres
    • Murrysville Community Park 305.94 acres
  • Hunter must provide their own tree stand
  • $35 annual fee
  • Follows all Game Commission rules and regulations
  • Must qualify annually with the Department staff
  • There is currently a waiting list
  • Hunters are required to hunt a minimum of 6 times per season
  • Preference is given to Murrysville residents and those who live in surrounding areas because you are REQUIRED to be an active member of the program or you will be dropped.
